Valentina D’Orazi

Valentina D’Orazi – INAF OAPD

Valentina D’Orazi is a staff researcher at INAF Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova. She graduated in Astronomy at the University of Bologna in 2005 and obtained her PhD from the University of Florence and INAF Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri (Florence, Italy) in 2009. 

From 2011 to 2015 she was a Super Science Fellow at Macquarie University (Sydney) and Monash University (Melbourne).

Her main research interests focus on high-resolution spectroscopy in the optical and near infra-red of young and old stellar populations. Furthermore, she works on high-contrast imaging observations of giant planets on wide orbits. She is actively involved in the SPHERE consortium and Maory science team. She is the instrument scientist of SHARK-NIR at LBT.
