Martina Baratella is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam (AIP) from November 2021, Germany.
She obtained her Bachelor and Master’s degrees at the University of Padova in 2015 and 2018 respectively. A the same institute, she finally obtained the PhD title in Astronomy in December 2021.
Her main research interest is high-resolution spectroscopy in optical and near-infrared of main sequence and evolved stars. In particular, she is expert in the chemical abundance analysis of young and active stars, for which she developed an innovative analysis approach.
She is part of the Gaia-ESO and GALAH surveys, and she is the head of the chemical abundance working group for the VPNEP survey (at AIP). She is also an active collaborator of the OSTTA program.
